Jack had a good result at the Hunts Kart Racing Club at the weekend, finishing 7th out of a strong field in the Senior X30 class.
It was a competitive drive on the Kimbolton Circuit which can be fairly challenging in the wintry conditions.
This was Jack’s penultimate preparation race before taking part in the full X30 Senior British Karting Championship in 2017 where he is expecting to get strong results.
Jack has earned a place on the grid for the 2017 Super One Series – the top tier of kart racing in the UK.
Super One is highly competitive, and features some of the best racers in the country competing in close racing at some iconic circuits over the course of the season.

Jack’s looking forward to a strong year in the class, with the opportunity to prove himself against some of the best racers in the country and demonstrate his potential to a wider audience.
As part of his preparations for a full season racing the X30 at senior level in the 2017 Championship, Jack spent a day at Shenington testing with Mark Litchfield in late October.
We made a conscious decision to hold back on racing in 2016 while Jack focused on his GCSEs and qualifying for the AASE course at Loughborough College, so the testing sessions focused on familiarisation with both the track and the new kart to get him ready ahead of a return to the track at Whilton Mill.

A massive amount of work went into getting the look which features Jack’s lucky shark on the back – it’s what other drivers will be looking at during races next season!
As Jack steps up his preparations for a full rally season in 2018, he will be attending the John Haughland Ice Driving School to improve his skills on challenging surfaces.
The training takes place from 30th January through until 2nd of February, and will involve a substantial number of training miles.
Jack returns to PFI on 6th November for the end of season Continental Cup Event.
A strong field will be present at the track including multiple national champions. Jack will be racing in the X30 class, and we expect a strong showing.
On 23 October Jack raced at Whilton Mill in the X30 Class, and performed well against a competitive field.
This was Jack’s second race in succession after his outing at PFI, and followed on from extensive testing with Mark Litchfield and his ongoing work at Loughborough College as part of his AASE Course.

Jack took part in the Kartmasters British Grand Prix X30 at the PFI track.
This race marked his return to karting after 3 years competing in other series, and came 5 years after his last Karting Grand Prix.
Despite not having raced the new layout of PFI before, Jack performed strongly in the Senior X30 class. In a field of 50 experienced racers, he made his way through the pack during the event to finish in 20th.
We’re looking forward to his return to the circuit in September.
