Mini Max Super 1 – Guest at Wigan

Straight in the deep end, at the last round of the Super 1 British Championships being held at Wigan. It seemed worthwhile, in Jack getting some experience in Mini Max at a National level. Qualifying saw Jack.
16th and 19th in the heats. This saw Jack make the Grand Final and the objective of no early bath achieved. 21st in the final and solid experience ready for the spring.

Hooton Oct

We headed to our local track Hooton Park. We arrived and realised it was a race weekend, thus a late entry saw us racing and getting more mini max seat time, in a small field. Heats 1st, 2nd, 2nd and pole for final. 2nd in the final. Next stop Wigan Super 1 as a guest.

PFI – Continental cup

We arrived at the newly redesigned PFI circuit. Jack soon got soon got used to the track and made a great start to his mini max racing by not looking out of place within 20 laps. Solid drives all day and a highlight of 5th in one heat, showed promise.

Wigan first mini max race – Sept 2011

We went to Wigan for our first mini max race, Jack was quick at times and then we got slower and slower. A faulty coil was only identified after the final, from which he retired. Not the ideal start, although he had done better than we expected when the kart was somewhere near.

Whilton FKS and Rowrah Super 1

With some challenges at both Whilton mill FKS and Rowrah Super 1, we decided to finish cadets early. With Jack lying 13th in FKS and 15th in Super 1, it was a hard decision, although once Jack had tried a minimax he was done with cadets. Jack improved a lot in his first year in nationals with some notable results.
